JOIN ONE OF OUR MINI THROW DOWN WORKSHOPS ON 22 FEB OR 29 MARCH,

Seen it on TV? Well now you can have a go yourself by Joining our small group session. Slightly different in that you don’t have to compete and you learn the techniques  to be able  to produce your  masterpieces. Firstly a demonstration on how to throw a pot on the wheel then you each have a turn in the wheel with one to one help. Then a chance to produce a pot on your own.
Your hand built piece(s) have a theme but if you prefer you can choose your own. You will have 5 hours to complete your tasks which also includes decorating/painting your pieces.
work is left at the studio for drying and glazing. Ready about 4 weeks later.
this is a relaxed workshop suitable for all abilities as help is constantly on hand. Why not give it a go?

TEA AND COFFEE PROVIDED AND FEEL FREE TO BRiNG YOUR SNACKS TO KEEP YOU GOING THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

Join one of our small group sessions and learn to throw a pot on the wheel, as well as some hand building techniques, before embarking on your masterpieces.
You have one to one tuition on the wheel while the others in the group work on their handbuild.

The wheel session consists of preparation of clay, centring, moulding, shaping and removing pot from wheel.

You will be able to add coloured decoration at the same session.

You will also learn the technique of slabbing and decorating, enabling you to produce a cylindrical piece of your choice and design.

Dress for mess as we no longer provide aprons.

You are welcome to bring snacks and tea and coffee is provided.
